# Using Placeholder From PlaceholderAPI

## Introducing

PlayerListDeluxe don't have its own Placeholder, so if you want to add a functional  and informational placeholder to use on your fancy tablist, i recommend to use PlaceholderAPI, its the current supported placeholder plugin for PlayerListDeluxe.

## Using the placeholder

### Downloading Placeholder Expansion

Before you start using placeholder, you need to download the expansion in order to make it working. Please see PlaceholderAPI wiki about this.

### Using it on your tablist

For PlayerListDeluxe, use `{` and `}` for placeholders instead of `%` and `%` . Example, use `{player_name}` instead of `%player_name%`.
